When discussing my topic with peers it seems that although the technology has been in the district for at least three years, that is how long I have work for the district, not many teachers are familiar with it. The consensus is that using Schoolnet in an additional assignment and they do not have the time to learn the application. I have revised my plan to incorporate training coupled with a survey to determine its usefulness. With money being such a huge concern at this time it would be a waste of money to continue to pay for a program that the majority of teacher are not using or are interested in using.

ReplyDeleteI like the relevance your topic relays. In this time of budget crunches, you are correct that it is not fiscally responsible to pay for an application that teachers are not utilizing. However, I agree with your plan to incorporate training with your research to see if there is a way that teachers will use it if they know how. I look forward to following your research!
